The Computer Industry Attempts to Meet E-Discovery Needs for the Identification, Preservation and Collection

Recent rule changes in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure have changed the way the lawyers and the courts are handling evidence.  In the absence of firm federal guidelines, many firms around the country are instituting protocols to manage large amounts of digital evidence.  The Electronic Discovery Reference Model project is an attempt by the industry to make sense of all the products that are currently on the market.
