Steven J. Lane is the managing partner of Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar, L.L.P., and is a partner in the national firm, HERMAN GEREL, LLP, headquartered in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Lane received his B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1977 and his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law in 1980. Mr. Lane has long been acknowledged as one of the premier divorce lawyers in the United States. He has also been extensively involved in class action litigation, business litigation and personal injury. Mr. Lane has successfully handled a broad range of cases including commercial cases, products liability cases, employment disputes, railroad cases, explosion cases and other complex disputes. Mr. Lane is the legal counsel to the New Orleans City Council in civil litigation involving utility, zoning and other regulatory matters.
