HHKC Louisiana Gulf Oil Spill Littigation

HHKC Louisiana Gulf Oil Spill Littigation Since the explosion and subsequent sinking of the oilrig Deepwater Horizon on April 20, 2010, the law office of Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar has been working with those affected by the disaster and the damage it has caused. HHKC has been responding to the needs of several offshore workers and their families, as well as working with local commercial shrimpers, oystermen, fishermen and other affected businesses.

HHKC has experience in handling cases involving injury and wrongful death caused by drilling rig disasters, and this experience has proved to be critical as our firm responds to the needs of those affected by this latest disaster.

Since the rig explosion, 11 crewmembers of the Deepwater Horizon rig are still missing and presumed dead.  Hundreds of other crewmembers, including Horizon service vessels, were severely injured and traumatized by the entire experience.

HHKC Louisiana Gulf Oil Spill Littigation Not only is HHKC working with the victims and survivors of the oil rig explosion, we are also working to protect the rights of the commercial shrimpers, oystermen and fishermen who depend on local seafood and wildlife to make a living.

Shrimpers, oystermen and fishermen throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast are being represented by HHKC for the economic and long-term damage sustained as a result of the massive oil spill that threatens this vital Gulf Coast industry. The marsh and wetlands that form the breeding grounds of our culture are being threatened, and we are working to make sure our clients' rights are protected.

For more information about these claims, contact us at (504) 581-4892 or by emailing info@hhkc.com.

HHKC Louisiana Gulf Oil Spill Littigation Gulf Coast businesses, large and small, face substantial losses as a result of the oil spill.  Restaurants, seafood processors, tourism and other Gulf Coast businesses are suffering. For more information about these claims, contact us at (504) 581-4892 or by emailing info@hhkc.com.

HHKC Louisiana Gulf Oil Spill Littigation HHKC partners Steve Herman and Jim Klick hosted a press conference on May 3, 2010 to clear the air surrounding the liability release waivers that BP officials were asking volunteers to sign before assisting in cleanup efforts. Herman and Klick demonstrated that the releases were dangerous documents and should not be signed by anyone; they even succeeded in having BP "rip up and destroy" any of these blanket releases that had already been signed, rendering them void of any legal effect.

If you have any questions about whether you were treated fairly by BP or Transocean, Ltd., or to learn more about your legal rights in the midst of this disaster, contact us at (504) 581-4892 or by emailing info@hhkc.com.
