$9.2 million Jury verdict where plaintiff was a part-time professional wrestler and who was rendered quadriplegic when his opponent used "the pile driver" move on him in a wrestling match: Bergeron v. State Boxing and Wrestling Commission.

$591 million Jury verdict against major tobacco companies for cessation services to qualified smokers in the State of Louisiana with legal interest in excess of $1 billion: Scott v. American Tobacco, et al.

$25.55 billion Settlement for California in its case against cigarette manufacturers to cover medical reimbursements for the health costs related to diseases caused by smoking: James Ellis, et al v. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co., et al.

$2.85 billion Settlement with Merck for all federal cases involving Vioxx to ensure that plaintiffs and claimants who have timely filed their claims and have suffered injuries as a result of Vioxx.

$19.5 million Recovered in case where a ChiksanĀ® joint fell 30 feet and broke the back of an offshore derrick hand, rendering him a permanent paraplegic: Mote v. Oryx Energy Co., et al.

$3 million Recovery against HMO's collection agency for overcharging patients: Degarmo v. Healthcare Recoveries, Inc.

$85.81 million Settlement for massive explosion case at Nitromethane plant causing death, injury, property damage and evacuation of surrounding community: Dumas v. Angus Chemical Corp.

$202 million Recovered in civil rights actions on behalf of African Americans who were sold inferior life insurance policies based on race: Justin v. MetLife; Morris, et al v. Life Ins. Co. of Georgia; Williams, et al v. United Insurance Co. of America.

$1.15 million Obtained in case where a driver was rear-ended, suffering moderate injuries to neck and back. In the course of treatment for injuries, driver suffered an injection injury to her cervical spinal cord which resulted in severe neurological deficits: Guidry v. National Union Fire Ins. Co.
