Nevertheless, in litigation, HHKC utilized arguments of personal injury, professional negligence, and products liability. We successfully recovered $25 million on behalf of our clients. In Dumas v. Angus Chemical Corp. , the firm represented over 1,000 clients who were victims of an explosion that occurred after a nitromethane plant in northern Louisiana caught fire. The explosion caused fatalities, injuries, vehicle and property damage, and evacuation. The settlement in this case was over $85 million.
